B.O.B gives a quick testament to the cheap and infant-friendly usage of the autotune plugin. With thanks to T-Pain (mostly) autotune has quickly become the leading money-making tool on the commercial charts, and B.O.B helps explain why! Some mofuckers can't and shouldn't sing (t-pain, kanye) however it can be used wisely and I don't discriminate on it's proper usage. A quick example I could give (from my taste) would be Marlon Asher's "Ganja Farmer" one of the biggest culture tunes of '06/'07, and even Snoop's "Sensual Seduction" because at least it sounds good and not like Snoop is trying to be something he's not. If anyone listened to his Ego Trippin' album, you would've heard some next shit renditions of a late Prince, and therefore Snoop was doing that tune for himself (and the cheds, duh) but it still hits right. Feel free to leave your feelings on the topic, and don't expect to see autotune going anywhere anytime soon. As long as artists can move units with any tool they'll run it into the ground doing so, but you can do your part by not buying it! I.E, DON'T BUY KANYE'S NEW ALBUM UNLESS YOU ENJOY GETTING SUCKER PUNCHED!!!!!!!!!
