Reggae Rising 2009 :: Highly Recommended

Ohhhh gosh... I don't know if I've ever looked forward to a festival more than this... after having spent year after year on the East Coast, this will be the first West Coast festival I'll have the pleasure of attending. I've done the Bonnaroo thing, Rothbury is amazing, but I can't imagine anything compares to the pristine setting of this venue, along the Eel River in Humboldt County amongst redwoods, hills and valleys.... oh and the lineup is BANANAS (click image for larger view).

I'll be rolling with my bredren Jah Dan, who is performing on friday night @ 7pm (If you're going do NOT sleep on his set!) Also selecting @ the late night dancehall will be some of my SF peoples Daneekah & Green B, Beatnok & Mr Lucky, Stepwise, and Jah Yzer.

This one killllls....a summertime heater that hits all the right spots for me... I had recently heard Wailing Souls "Jah Give Us Life" in a Satori video, and was reminded of how good of a tune it was, and how I wanted to do a quick edit with some drums to make it a little more dancefloor friendly.
